In 2009 Gray’s Papaya was running a “Recession Special” at all their locations, 2 hot dogs and a drink for $3.85. We like the Banana Daquiri drink. We visited the branch at 2090 Broadway at 72nd Street. And they are open 24 hours a day all year, so you’ll never go hungry when hankering for a hot dog and a fruit drink.
You know the economy is bad when a family is sharing the Gray’s Papaya Recession Special.
The Wadsworth Atheneum is a terrific museum in downtown Hartford, Connecticut and hosts excellent special exhibits on a regular basis. This “At Home with Gustav Stickley” exhibit in 2008 turned out to be quite a scandal, as the collection has been promised to the museum upon the death of its current owner but he later largely rescinded the promise.
